I grew up a "city boy" in Horsham, PA, a bedroom community of Philadelphia, with two brothers and two sisters. Wanting to see the world and not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, I joined the United States Navy in 1975 at the age of nineteen. During that time, I served on the USS Dewey which was stationed at the Charleston Naval Base. It was while I was stationed in Charleston, that I came to the reality of who Jesus Christ is and that I needed Him as my personal Lord and Savior.

I attended a small Bible preaching church in Charleston where I met and married Pam Fox, my wonderful wife of 27 years. In the course of time at this church I felt the call to surrender my life to full time service to proclaim the message of Salvation in Jesus Christ. When my enlistment was up, Pam and I moved to Michigan to attend a Bible College to prepare for a life of service. In 1986, Pam and I both graduated with BA's in Bible.

Upon our graduation in 1986, we moved to Thousand Oaks, California where I accepted my first ministry position as a Youth Minister. In 1987, we were blessed with a daughter, Lindsay. In late 1989 we moved to Dallas, TX, where I was enrolled in seminary. In 1991, our second blessing, Alex, was born. In the process of preparing for ministry, I served as youth minister in several churches in CA, Tx, and NC. I finished seminary in 1998, and took my first pastorate in Wilson, NC, in 1999.

First Baptist of Goose Creek called me to serve as pastor in March of 2004. Pam and I have had the outstanding opportunity of ministering to this wonderful church and the fine people of this growing community for over four years. She is delighted to be a part of the ministry of this warm, caring church family and is involved in many church activities. In addition, she too, is an experienced worker for the Lord as an enthusiastic witness for Christ, and also as a loving counselor. She never meets a stranger and most Sunday mornings you will find her welcoming visitors to our worship service.

Lindsay, now 21, is a senior at North Greenville University. She is a literature major and a young writer, and enjoys engaging non-believers in conversation about Christ's unconditional love. Alex is 17, and a senior at Stratford High School in Goose Creek. He also plans to attend North Greenville, with the intention of preparing for a full time ministry. He, like his mother doesn't know a stranger and loves to entertain people with his sharp wit. He is tender hearted enough towards those who need Christ to want to share his faith with any who will listen.

My greatest joy as a minister is teaching and preaching the Word of God to the people of God. My passion is sharing the saving love of Jesus Christ and reaching our hurting culture with the compassion, mercy and goodness of God. I am especially concerned with helping young families find God's contentment and direction in a very confusing spiritual environment.
